Sustainability Education for Employees

Deep understanding of environmental and social sustainability and how they relate to the company’s products and operations are essential for world-class sustainability performance. The company technologists and engineers together with their managers, executive and support staff make a difference in sustainable outcomes every day.

We develop and deliver a sustainability course that is customized for the client and includes the principles of sustainability and systems thinking across the supply-chain, as well as Design-for-Sustainability (DfS) and Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies.

Sustainable Product Development

At the heart of corporate sustainability lies the lifecycle impact of its products and services on the environment, the users, the local community, and the global society.

We collaborate with the client to incorporate sustainability throughout their existing Product Development Process including the design-for-sustainability (DfS) approach and corresponding key performance indicators (KPI).

To ensure effective implementation of the DfS methodology, we coach the team in various phases of the product development project and design reviews to adopt the DfS provisions including eco-effectiveness, design for reuse and recycling, as well as lifecycle assessment (LCA).

Supply Loop Management

We work with our clients to optimize the social and environmental sustainability of their supply chain by applying the holistic and systems-thinking principles across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.

The upstream supplies of materials, components, and subsystems and the downstream transportation, distribution of products and their end-of-life management will be examined individually and holistically. In the process of supply chain optimization, we support the client to identify supply-loop and by-product-synergy (BPS) opportunities based on the principles of circular economy.

Sustainable Manufacturing

Sustainable manufacturing is an opportunity to reexamine the manufacturing processes to decouple production capacity from waste and to achieve maximum resource efficiency.  In other words, sustainable manufacturing aims for zero waste in addition to compliance with the Environmental-Health-Safety (EHS) requirements.

We support the client to establish the key-performance-indicators (KPI) of sustainable manufacturing including resource efficiency, recyclability, reuse, use of renewable resources and recycled materials.

Organizational Leadership for Sustainability

We work with clients to go beyond the traditional corporate sustainability practices and explore how every functional group in the company and the related business processes can practice sustainability. Institutionalizing sustainability throughout the company including the organizational structure, employee education, culture, and operational practices is paramount to achieving an enduring world-class outcome. We collaborate with clients to ensure that corporate governance and leadership at all levels enable sustainability in product development, investment strategy, employee compensation, and DEI (Diversity-Equity-Inclusion).

Sustainability Assessment

Excellent sustainability performance requires clear objectives, deep understanding of the status in achieving the desired sustainability outcomes, and strategies for filling the gaps.

In partnership with the client, we support the development of an Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG) dashboard across scopes 1, 2 & 3 of the firm’s operation deploying selected standards from the following list:

  • Federal Securities & Exchange Commission (SCC) Directives
